How did I decide to do this I was asked?
The baby's frenulum did look tight when I first saw her. As mom continued
breastfeeding she had more discomfort and some cracking/bleeding.
from what I know this is a potentially benfitial procedure with little risk.
Hard part was I had not done one nor seen a real one, only a video.
On the other hand mom was in pain and I didnt want the breastfeeding to fail
becasue I had not done this simple procedure. So the nurses stabilized the
infant and with a brief prayer to baby Jesus, I clipped.
I talked to mom today. baby is breastfeeding well.
