I have to agree with Barbara ! Especially on Tom Hales book - the price is
very reasonable, under 25.00 and a WONDERFUL resource that I can't live
without. I have one at home and one in the office. If there were a mini
one, it would be in my purse! The archives has lots of posts about
medication as does Tom's site which is located at
http://neonatal.ttuhsc.edu/lact/
There is a link on that page to buy books - where you can order his book and
there is also a link to open breastfeeding forums , this also has answers to
many questions.
If you are in need and low on $$$ I have a 1997 copy of Hales book that I
will mail you if you send me $3.20 to priority mail it to you. First come ,
first serve. Who else out there has an older edition of Hales or Lawrence
or Riordan/Auerbauch that would be willing to do the same?
I only post a question for help to lactnet after searching the archives and
dragging out all of my lactation test books and still come up with a
question.
I truly appreciate all of the help I have received via this forum and don't
know what I would do with out it. I always offer to pay for copying and
postage of articles that I ask people to send me, that is the least I can
do. I live in an area where I have real difficulty accessing medical
journals for a lot of articles mentioned on Lactnet. I can drive over an
hour to a medical library, but that is an all day trip. My local library is
pitiful!
I think that people often get into such a hurry that they forget that it
takes the people who answer the posts a long time to answer the questions
that could first be found in the archives.
Ok........ climbing down now.........
