Winnier, you hit it right on the head!
<Each individual teaching session with a mom is unique. The content,
order of info, and emphasis must meet her needs at that time (not
mine) or none of it will sink in!>
My friends and co-workers used to always ask me "Isn't it so boring, just
talking about the same old thing (BFing) all the time, all day long?" I was
honestly totally amazed - it's *never* felt to me like a repetitious subject
at all, and if I've ever actually "taught" anyone anything about BFing, I
think it's because each mom's story, and each mother/baby couplet, and the
keys that will help any given woman "get it" are different each and every
time. My job is to first of all listen to the mom - way before I jump in
with "helpful" admonitions or a set agenda!
