Here are some addresses for people to target with letters about the USDA
ordered WIC funding cuts for donor milk to poor, sick, premature infants.
Stress these points:
-- protest the policy change that prohibits WIC from reimbursing milk
banks for processing fees
-- stress the record of safety of pasteurized, screened donor human milk
from a milk bank
-- stress the nutritional superiority of human milk over the alternative
--point out that, especially for premature and ill babies, who make up the
vast majority of milk bank clients, that artificial formula brings higher
risk of disease and death
Try to sound powerful and not hysterical.
