I recently rented a pump to a mom whose weanling contracted it, passed it to
his 5 month old sister who needed part of a day's worth of not-breastfeeding
to get her over the worst of it, and who subsequently got it herself (the
mom, that is). She said the kids were really miserable for a really short
time (a day or so), and she was really miserable for a significantly longer
time (a couple days). Not a fun disease, apparently, and it did interfere -
tho not for long - w/ bfing. I believe she used a cup thru the worst of
it...
