One fashion item several of us (who traveled through several European
countries) this past summer was the nipples on the manikins used to display
clothing.  Unlike the totally rounded versions seen in the US, nearly all
that we saw obviously had the pert and perky breasts WITH nipples evident
(as if it were cold).

Is this a cultural thing newly imported to the west side of the Atlantic?
