Dear LIsa,
With use of a nipple shield.......at least baby is at the
breast!!!!!! Sometimes an intervention works better if a mom is not
quite at her wit's end yet, that's why listening to her is such an
important part of what we do!! We may be fine with a certain management
plan.......but she is the one going home with it!!! (I wanted to use
capital letters, but opted for lots of !!! instead, for the sake of
proper netiquette)
You bring up another issue: disagreement among colleagues,
especially in the hospital setting. Anybody care to comment on this?
Such as any list mothers or dear lactation veterans??
