Now I'm probably gonna get some of this wrong, but my husband is a PA,
and we were both Pharmacy Techs in previous lives, and so my dh talked
to compounding pharmacist and a chemist who worked with the pharmacist,
and they said that the cabbage had an ingredient similar to aldactone in
it and it was this diuretic action that was helpful. I think in works
in the cells actually causing them to get rid of extra fluid. Has
anybody seen the cabbage extract in a gel that's for sale now? Cabbage
is much cheaper and easier.
