I have discussed this with some of the OBs here and the general feeling is that
these cases should be treated with vaginal estrogen....not systemic.

One of our OBs (Dr. Greg Owens) who is doing research on treatment of urinary
incontinence associated with low estrogen levels told me that he has had little
complaint of diminished milk supply in the women who he has treated this way.

My suggestion would be that, if a mom needs estrogen...treat  her vaginally and
help her watch the milk supply!
