Just my personal experience here, but my newborn daughter (exclusively
breastfed at the time) had a curious white coating on her tongue for what
seemed like the longest time. I was concerned about yeast. She had no other
symptoms and I didn't have any symptoms. I asked my pediatrician about it,
and he said not to worry about it, that it was not yeast. She is now 14
months old and still nursing very sucessfully. The coated tongue is long
since gone, and she's just fine. No yeast with either of us. Who knows? HTH
