Chris says,
<< I use the mnemonic of P-A-P to remember that Prolactin comes from the
Anterior Pituatary when I'm teaching about the anatomy and physiology of
breastfeeding. A relatively useless factoid, but something that nursing
instructors like to test students on. >>
And I tried that one and P-O-P to remember that oxytocin comes from the
Posterior pituitary. Unfortunately, then I couldn't ever remember which was
which, and if the PP was Posterior pituitary or PP was prolactin pituitary.
Jan -- who can only remember useless stuff such as "every good boy does fine"
and "On old olympus towering top, a Finn and German Vaulted a Hedge." Lovely
to know that, but I can never remember the names of the nerves to which the
initial letters belong.
