I received a call from a mother whose 8 month old was diagnosed with
Traumatic Granuloma. This involves the underside of her baby's tongue. In
babies they told her it's called Riga-Fede disease. They feel the baby's
teeth are irritating the tongue and causing this condition. The
recommendation is to consider weaning in hopes it would resolve it. I for
obvious reasons don't agree. Any of you ever hear of this or have any ideas
I could share with her? I'd really appreciate it. Sue
