The new lacto-free formula seems to be the remedy lately for many
breastfeeding mothers I encounter.  Recently, I received a call from a mother
of a 4 month old that is "experimenting" by giving her little guy lacto-free
while pumping her milk.  She claims that he is less gassy, having more
frequent BM's and slept 6 hours at night.  I have left her a message and will
try to talk with her ASAP.  Is lactose intolerance common the first year of
life?  (I will explore her diet and his feeding patterns more when I talk to
her).
