Last Spring at our Wisconsin annual conference, we had as speaker a
physical therapist, specializing in ergonomics in the work place. In
preparation for his presentation, he visited a hospital and photographed
LCs working with patients.
He would show us slide of the setting and the LC, and we would give
suggestions for improving her approach for the benefit to her body. After a
few slides we got very good at seeing what she was doing that compromised
her comfort.
He had never presented nor prepared for such a presentation, but he found
it exciting and we all benefitted greatly. Perhaps some of you can get an
ergonomics specialist to prepare such a program.
