For a friend of mine, who has a son diagnosed as having acute myeloid
leucemia, for wich he receives aggressive treatment with cytostatics, I'm
looking for information about the (dis)advantages of supplying him with
(donated) breastmilk as means of immunity boost and nutritional/regenerative
fluid. He is 7 years old, and wasn't breastfed himself as a baby. His mother
didn't succeed in establishing a milksupply after his birth.
Does anyone have any information or experiece relating to this case?
Please do email me also privately.
Thank you, Martien van den Berg, IBCLC in Ezinge (the Netherlands)
