I'm working as a hospital based LC. I run a lactation program at two
different hospitals that includes doing rounds on all breastfeeding patients,
I have 2 seperate pump rental stations, and see patients for consults on an
inpatient as well as outpatient basis. My question(s) to other LC's who are
hospital based is how closely are you required to follow a budget? If you
don't meet budget, is your entire program likely to be shut down ? Are you
able to include charges for your services and equipment on the hospital bill?
How do you handle capated insurance groups? Have you had success with super
bills and reimbursement? Please feel free to e-mail me privately. Thanks for
your in-put!
