There was a small article about this Bronx, NY teenager who was prosecuted
after her 6 week old died, in today's paper. She was given 5 years probation
instead of jailtime , by the judge who also said it would be a good idea if
she takes parenting classes should she get pregnant again.

The probation is in effect provided she continues school or is working.She
was also ordered to undergo counseling.
