Well I can see several people want to climb on my soap box, and there's
plenty of room, so I'm glad I mentioned this! But I agree with Cathy, Linda
et al who "bristle" with this. I frankly don't care *how* we abbreviate it,
as long as it isn't BM!
I might mention, for the benefit of all of you non-hospital people, I've
been working in a hospital for well over 20 years, and there has always
been an "approved" list of abbreviations. Many never make it to the
approved list, but IV, DC and BM are always, always on the approved list!
