You ask why would bf make a 15 mo old more fussy/difficult? This came from
[Authors Larson, Sandra K. et al. Title Outcome Differences between
Breast-Fed and Bottle-Fed Infants. Availability
EDRS Availability: Microfiche [1 card(s)], Paper.] whose abstract said
"Findings revealed that breast-fed infants scored significantly higher than
bottle-fed infants on the Bayley Mental Development Index (MDI) at 15 months
of age and tended to be rated as more
fussy-difficult-demanding by their parents at 15 months. "
I say the kids could have been smarter, less likely to be satisfied in a
playpen or crib; needing more stimulation;; more verbal, talkative; maybe
they were just weaned prematurely and showing their upset about it!
