Well, I'm distressed again.

A friend just told me that she heard a radio program, "Dr. Laura", on
KRLD, Dallas, Texas, USA, this am. A woman caller had just been ordered
by the court to wean her infant by 12 months of age so that the paternal
grandparents could have visitation without mom.  Mom and the father have
never been married.  Dr. Laura reportedly was quite incensed.

I can't imagine how this can possibly be legal, but apparently it is.
Can't this be considered a human rights violation?  Surely every woman
has the God-given right to nurse her own baby and wean when she and the
child are ready.  How did we ever lose something which should never have
been optional?
Sigh,
It's been that kind of a day.
