the LLL web site has a FAQ page which discusses nursing and pregnancy which
covers this subject.  I believe that it said that in most women, the milk
decreases in quantity and changes in taste during the third trimester of
pregnancy which is when many older nursing children will spontaneously wean
before the new baby arrives. I think the address is lalecheleague.org  but I
usually get there by searching the term la leche league on one of the big
search engines.
