My -unscientific- guess is that it has to do with any previous BF hx and
the reason mom is adopting. Is it because she was never able to get pg
in first place because of some subtle hormone thing? Or was it a mechanical
thing (no ut, blocked tubes). I think it is the mom with the hormone
problems who also seem to have problems with supply. It certainly isn't
for lack of trying with some of the moms I've seen. I think another
difference might be psychological. We are sort of dependent on
supplementing in some way here in US and maybe the mom in Papua just
assumes there will be enough milk and goes forward on that premise and
doesn't get all hung up with ounces. Just a thought or two. Sincerely,
