Greetings Lactnetters:

I'm curious, how many of you that are hospital based, suggest women bind their
breasts, if they are not going to breastfeed? It is my understanding that this
practice is outdated, potentially harmful and ill advised.

I recently found out that a large hospital in my area is passing out ace
bandages and telling women to bind their breasts and wear sports bras until
their milk drys up. Some feedback please.

Thanks.
Jahaan Martin MEd, IBCLC

PS Best of everything to those sitting for the exam on Monday!!!!!
