Dear Lactnet Friends, especially the MDs,
A mom in our last childbirth class series came up to me at the last class and
disclosed that she has a pituitary tumor that has been there several years.
She couldn't remember for sure, but it could be an adenoma. She has been on
Parlodil for several years, and the tumor decreased in side and her high
prolactin levels decreased. She is off the med for the pregnancy and the
endocrinologist told her NOT to breastfeed as that will increase her already
high prolactin levels and make the tumor grow. Besides she is supposed to
go back on her med after the baby comes and can't if she is breastfeeding.
I've had no luck with the archives, don't seem to be able to access them
since we changed servers.
Information or help please!!!! Many thanks in advance
