Could someone please tell me why when a breastfed baby is fussy, gassy,
colicky ... everyone's first suggestion is to give formula?
The only calls I get re: my baby is fussy, gassy, colicky, can I
relactate? come from my WIC clients.
And why do well educated people call a Lactation Specialist for
suggestions on which formula to buy?
And why do some women wait until 6 months after weaning to call and ask
what effect (if any) a medication they have been taking for years (and
all through their breastfeeding) might have on their baby?
Should I be happy that people apparently know how to call me? Or wonder
why they are getting my number so late in the game?
It has been one of those Deep South Days...Maybe it's the heat and
humidity... frying brain cells ... Maybe it is a Full Moon ...
