Hi,
>A microadenoma is a small (<10mm
>diameter)tumor of the pituitary gland which causes prolactin
>hypersecretion. Symptoms are: abnormal menstruation,infertility,
>galactorrhea(too much milk), decreased libido, and vaginal dryness.
>Parlodel is commonly used as treatment.
'Scuse my ignorance, but those symptoms sound like the typical
breastfeeding mother to me (and over supply is such a common problem
these days, isn't it?). Could you clarity please how a doctor would go
about distinguishing the normal from the abnormal? I have visions of
ever breastfeeding mother with irregular menstruation and over-supply
being put on parlodel!
