I could not find this in Lawrence (but mine is 3rd edition at home), may be
in most recent edition. Also there is a Medical Contraindications to BF
publication authored by Lawrence, again it is at work. Maybe you could find
this or call Dr. Lawrence in Rochester. It seems regular staph infections
are ok if mom being treated, but with the resistant strain, it seems this
could be problematic. However, baby is going to be exposed to mother anyway
and the other family members, so wuoldn't bf be protective? Not an easy
call. Please report back if you find out.
