Star,
In my (personal) experience, thrush in the mouth hurts like hell and it
even hurts to drink water. No wonder that baby is feeding poorly. I have
even seen bottle fed babies who pull off the nipple and cry, then go for
the nipple because they are hungry. And cup feeding doesn't help
alleviate the pain. I've never heard that you can build up a resistance
to a fungus?!? I would insist on treatments for the baby's mouth (and
systemic treatments as well since the yeast is in the urine), get all
new bottle nipples and gavage tubes, then new ones again after 3-4 days
of treatment.Treatment may need to last for 2 weeks or more. Check the
archives for more information or write back to me.
