I've been madly working all week on the final adjustments to my presentation
to the LLLI Physician's Conference next week in Orlando titled "Tricks of
the Trade: Formula Companies in the US". It is quite sickening to grasp all
the different things they do, all the different strategies they use, and all
the messages they send. I do want to thank everyone from LactNet who sent
me stories and props to show. The "Tolerance Teddy" Beanie Baby is going to
be a hit, I'm sure.
I also want to thank everyone who sent books for the CARE package to the
breastfeeding-friendly physician in Lithuania. I have an amazing amount of
wonderful stuff to send him, including one copy of Lawrence, one copy of
Riordan and Auerbach, and 3 copies of the BAB, plus 20+ copies of WAB, 20
copies of "Why Should I Nurse My Baby?" and loads of other stuff.
