I've decided that when things are very busy at a hospital , that those of
us in house, are doing triage lactation consulting. "What's the problem,
try this, followup with ......?" The worst problems get the attention. I
can't be in 2 rooms at once, and moms are going home as I'm seeing them.
Very depressing.
The question is do we really prepare ourselves for this kind of lc- ing?
No sitting down leisurely for a talk. No detailed history of your problems
with nursing. Just triage!
