I have had several instances lately, where mothers come to me for help, and
they tell me that the floor nurse has told them that the reason that their
child cannot breastfeed is that they are "lazy."
Does anyone else have this experience?
This type of labelling just burns me up. How can we label a baby who is new
to this world as a lazy person?
I think that many do not realize that language sticks....and mothers
remember these types of things. Diane Weissinger, this is the type of thing
that your article "Watch Your Language" really pointed out.
Can we order 10 million copies to go? : )
