Hello everyone,
I have a query, a woman about 30 who has a family history of polycysitc
ovaries and is carrying a bit of weight- and feels she may have PCOS too.
She has had 3 children and 3 early miscarriages. Head CT scan is normal- so
'organic' reasons have been looked at.
In between child no 2 and 3 she continued to lactate after weaning-
proscribes bromocriptine , taking two before being pregnant again. Her 3rd
child was weaned 3years ago and she is still lactating (ie forceful letdown
all over the place in the shower, reguarly) .
Her Dr has prescribes several rounds of bromocriptine, the latest being
double doses- making her physically ill.
I would love to know a bit about resources or websites we could look more
inot, I looked up the archives- and generally low supply seems to be
associated with PCOS- except for a comment from Lisa Marasco in Nov 1998
who noted 20% were hyper-prolactinemic.
Can anyone please suggest some current thoughts on this, and treatment.
Please reply directly to me- as I am NOMAIL for the moment.
Thankyou all
