How do you change physician behavior?  You inundate them with research.
Regarding the particular problem you have, I have been told, " I don't think
the women I work with will give up their epidurals."  Some may and some
won't, but at least tell them that it may interfere.  This same physician was
given some references.  The most recent one on the use of epidurals was in
1990. Does any one have a more recent one?  That would probably do it for
this physician-meaning I believe that she would change her practice.
