Hi Lactnetters,
I took my daughter to the movies today, saw the new release "Dudley
Do-Right". Two things caught my attention: One, when Snidley Whiplash is
throwing a mom with several children out of her house, there were several
baby bottles noticible on a shelf over a door.
The second was during the credits at the end of the film, there was a credit
for "product placement" in the movie. I wasn't aware that that particular
job had become important enough to earn a credit in the movies!
The movie makes several comparisons between Americans and Canadians, with the
Americans coming up short every time. I guess we've earned that, at least
where crass comercialism is concerned.
