You might ask the mom if she is taking any stool softeners. I had the same
thing happen with my granddaughter and was totally puzzled, not to mention
driving the ped. crazy,and finally the daughter-in-law mentioned that she had
been taking stool softeners EVERY day. Just a thought.....
And since this is my first post, I hope it goes where it's supposed to. I am
Sandy Grimsley, an RN with a Perinatal Home Visiting Program in our health
department.
I have been studying lactation for the past 5-6 years, and will take the exam
in a month! I have three children, all breastfed, the youngest of whom will
return from Italy next Thursday! I love my job working with moms and
babies....the most fun I've ever had as an RN of 27 yrs!
