I would agree that, as far as I can remember, all of the radio announcers
I have heard have pronounced it this way.  On the other hand, strangely
enough, I pronounce the word "ROdeo," the English version, in all
non-Copland contexts.  But I learned my English in the Midwest, so it's
probably all wrong.
