Richard Pennycuick wrote concerning Musica Antiqua Koln:

I've mentioned them a few times, because they are a great ensemble.
Their recordings of Bach's Brandenberg Concertos and Orchestral Suites
are exemplary and highly personal - their pacing and brass prominence
are outstanding.

I was not quite so enthralled with their recent 2-cd Bach cantata disc.
It was very good but not "above the crowd."

Concerning Heinichen, MAK did a fine job, but I am not yet convinced of the
quality of Heinchen's music. But, with the enthusiam expressed by Richard,
I should give Heinichen a few more plays.
