Dear Cathy, I think there is a difference in fat composition and how the br
fed baby handles fats and how a formula fed baby handles fats. Obesity is
becoming the # one problem for US kids. I think Jelliffe wrote about it,
but I'm not sure. We have to be careful about putting same standards on
all babies without knowledge of the source of their pudginess. Also from
listening to parents all day every day, parents are OBSESSED with what
kids eat or don't eat. They either eat too little, or too much. I know
for a fact that they drink too much milk and juice so of course they have
no room for food! Unless it is cookies or fries! Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
