I faced this same situation last year and posted here, the posts will be in
the archives. Basically, I took a stand, said why I felt I couldn't
personally go and I didn't go. My supervisor wasn't too happy as what I
refused to go to was a seminar sponsored by a formula company, apparently
the speaker was an excellent one and the topic wasn't even breastfeeding,
but I just couldn't do it.
Stand your ground and do what you know to be right!
