Yes, Rob, when baby pulls back the tongue (or it is snapped back by a
restrictive frenulum) the breast contacts the alveolar ridges, which
triggers the BITE reflex, so baby bites. Deeper latch should help.
Look at the frenulum as well, to see if it is responsible for the tongue
retraction.
