Hi - I'm working with a mom who is breastfeeding her third child, now
three weeks old.  She has been complaining of nipple pain since the
beginning, and stopped nursing her first child at 1 week because of this
same pain.  The nipple tip gets a white/blanched stripe across the tip
immediately after nursing, and this happens even when pumping.  What is
the treatment for this?  nifedipine?  How does one get an ob/gyn to
prescribe that?  Is there a good reference?  Is there anything to try
