That's interesting. I had never heard of that being done, and now I have
heard two references about that in one week. At one of the talks at the
recent AAP meeting, someone quoted an otherwise well respected pediatrician
as saying that it was recommended to give a second injection of vitamin K at
one month. I'm not sure why that myth is out there. Obviously some
practitioners have picked up on it. It is not necessary, or a common standard
of care.
