Ann, Pica is a craving for nonnutritional items such as ice, dirt, laundry
starch, talcon powder, and clay. It can by cause by a nutritional
deficiency. Yes some women have these cravings before and after pregnancy.
However pica is not something that should be encourage in a pregnant woman
