Dear Lactnetters

Does someone have informations about pantoprazole, a new proton pump
inhibitor ? We have here a mother breastfeeding her 4 months old, diagnosed
with a gastric ulcer, and she is given this medication. And, sure, the
doctor told her to wean (she DOES NOT want). It sems to me,  looking at its
pharmacokinetic characteristics, that the risk is low, but if datas are
available, it will be great. I have suggested her also to se another doctor,
or to ask for another medication, and give her the datas I have about ulcer
treatment.
