I have been talking to a mum whose baby was born 10 weeks early and is
now 5 weeks old (corrected age). Mum had some oversupply issues and baby
had very runny stools and developed a severe diaper rash. The supply
problems have been worked out, stools are becoming more solid and
yellow, but the rash persists. Mum has tried various ointments and left
baby's bottom exposed to the air as much as possible, but her question
to me was how long does it take the baby's gut and bottom to heal from
the previous trauma?
