I. Thou shalt include a clear and specific subject line.
II. Thou shalt edit any quoted text down to the minimum thou
needest.
III. Thou shalt read thine own message thrice before thou
sendest it and ponder how thy recipient might react to thy message.
IV. Thou shalt check thy spelling and thy grammar.
V. Thou shalt not curse, flame, spam or USE ALL CAPS.
VI. Thou shalt not forward any chain letters or suspicious stories
(hoaxes).
VII. Thou shalt not send virus warnings unless thou hast verified them.
VIII. Thou shalt not use e-mail for any illegal or unethical
purpose.
IX. Thou shalt not rely on the privacy of e-mail.
X. Thou shalt install and maintain anti-virus protection
XI. Thou shalt keep sub/unsub instructions in a sacred place
XII. Thou shalt not send attachments to the list
XIII. Thou shalt use text only in thy messages
XIV. Thou shalt not send personal correspondence to the list
XV. Thou shalt send substantive responses
XVI. Thou shalt not beat dead horses
XVII. Thou shalt endeavor to post material of interest to the list
XVIII: Thou shalt turn off the HTML preference if using a Browser for
Emailing as to not create duplicate messages.
