Celiac disease/sprue is actually an allergic reaction; whereas, thyroid
problems can be an autoimmune disease process. Constipation can be a sign of
hypothyroidism.
I will share a clinical pearl regarding hypothyroidism and infants.
The posterior fontanelle will usually close by 1 month of age; whereas, it
remains open in congenital hypothyroidism.
