<< So anybody heard of an adult having thrush in their throat? Would it
present
as a sore throat and a white spot or spots on the tonsils? Could it be strep
throat? >>
Cynthia,
Back in my youth, before I lost my tonsils to chronic strep throat, I'd get
white spots on my tonsils that were like little chunks of "cheese"--dead
white cells, pus? I don't know. But whenever they appeared, I knew my sore
throat was more than a virus, & got myself to a doctor. Amazingly, I only
developed thrush one time in my year on & off antibiotics, but it was my
tongue that got white & my gums that got flaming red from it...
Just one more possibility for ya...
