I attended the last LLLI conference which was in Washington DC. I have not
been a lifelong member of LLL, but the help I received from leader I don't
even know, led directly to my continuing to breastfeed my first child through
gallbladder surgery 9 years ago. Everyone I talked to was discouraging. The
surgeon just plain did not care, the family practice doc thought I was just
crazy to even try. And my pediatrician was even worse.

The conference in Washington DC was the most well run event I have ever
attended or exhibited at. The only difficulty was the hotel was so crowded it
was sometimes hard to navigate around. I have stayed at the Dolphin before
and when I heard the conference was there I found it a very logical place
because Disney is so good at accomodating large groups of people. I agree
with Kathy D. Don't do anything to bring on any negative press about LLL.
definately on of the finest organizations on this planet.
