Here I go again...raining on parades (must be all this rain in Oregon).
Metabolife IS quite a problem during bf for MOST mothers. I'm not saying
that there's not a case or two where nothing happens, but let me explain.
The per pill dose of Ma Huang/ephedra being at the maximum allowed PER DAY
by law and then requiring the consumption of the pill TID alone causes me
great concern. Ma Huang/Ephedra is banned in Nebraska (and banned for
mailing in Oregon) because of its dangerous side effects. It is a natural
treatment for asthma, but can cause a variety of heart-related problems
including heart attack and death (now, do YOU want that on your
shoulders?).
Second, the golden seal, sasparilla, and gotu could also be problematic,
and the bee-pollen and royal jelly can cause anaphylatic reactions in those
allergic to bees.
I'd say it's not worth the risk, and I very rarely say that. How about
exercise to increase metabolism? Plus, the women I have known who have
used this have NOT lost weight on it. 'Just my 2 cents. Chris
